Tigers need their spark back

I don't want to say that the Tigers' slow start is solely due to Curtis Granderson being on the DL but there is a strong correlation between the two. After being swept by the Royals in a three game series and currently (at the end of the 8th inning) losing their series opener against the Chicago White Sox, the Tigers need a serious spark. Last year Grandy was their offensive spark. He could always get the team going with an extra base hit or steal a base. The team really needs his youth and energy right now because the team looks old... real old.

Curtis will be going for an x-ray tomorrow and hopefully it will reveal good news.

Grandy shorts:
  • Curtis finally got to see his favorite college basketball team, the Kansas Jayhawks, play in the Detroit regional. Apparently Curtis' fandom has gotten around because KU's A.D. Lew Perkins invited him to come to Lawrence sometime for a game.
  • Empty the Bench did a nice Grandy interview.
  • Lauren, a regular reader, posts on her opening day experience...
  • ... and so does Curtis.
